Farewell Great City is that classic breakup/rough relationship we all have gone through: "Things fell apart and this is how I feel". The name Farewell Great City comes from a line at the end of The Trojan War myth in which the Trojans left alive and in captivity of the Greeks say: "Farewell Great City" as their home of Troy is burning to the ground. We build up homes with our lovers and when the love is broken, the cities we've built are destroyed and we are left saying "Farewell Great City." It's a painful goodbye to everything we thought would never leave.
lyrics
Bottle up these dreams of mine
Toss them in the sea because
Maybe someone will find them and
Use them better than me
Who are you to leave me lonely
Like you do?
Who are you to leave me homeless
Homeless without you?
Call your mother, call your friends
Leave me out once again
Bury your heart so deep
That no one can find it but me
Come back, take me home
Come back, take me home
She's got no time to give
Not even mine back
She's got a life to live
She can't forget that
But she can forget me.
